If I can find power and GND I can find the rest, but looking for any docs if you have them.

The diagram is only good if you have the matching cables since they only have the pinouts listed for the one end of the cable. It lists the signals for the pins in the connector that plugs into the display, not the connector that plugs into the read head of the encoder. Looks like Heindehain doesn't want to help you if you don't have their matching cables.
I did find the matching cables and using the above pinout in the doc find what I was looking for.
Thanks again for looking!

I have some experience with Heidenhain lc181 and lc183 glass scales. Support in the US is very poor, the engineers in Germany don’t communicate with international entities.
The LC181/183 scales use ENDAT, as I understand it is a protocol instead of a quadrature or analog signal. You would need an ENDAT capable device to interpret the signal to use them. Rexroth Indramat drives are able to natively interpret ENDAT encoders, but like Heidenhain, Rexroth support is poor in the US.

The LC-106C has the 11-μAPP interface.
I'm actually a few minutes away from the Rexroth HQ in the USA if I needed anything.

New links for the pics above. Guess imagebin deletes them if they get too much traffic.
