I've made progress this week. I made a comp to get things moving. It does work but I have no homing sequence yet and the movement is a little jumpy. Also need to change the steppers to closed loop. Just doing position for now. Attached is my files and a link to a video of the machine moving.

found that my compensation was not linear so I changed it up. Things are much soother now. I need to make the steppers on the valves closed loop as I've found that if you hit the pressure relief and it causes a pressure spike witch kicks back on the valve causing it to loose position. attached are my updated files.

hey did you ever get this press brake working well with linuxcnc? I am thinking about retrofitting one myself and just starting to see how easy it would be with linuxcnc

I would like to have all the auto bending calculations done also. Maybe when I get better at qtpyvcp.

Eg a cnc brake press not just a nc one.

They save so much time!

I found this thread so interesting. I'm slowly sketching the plan to build my own press brake and hydraulic system is giving me some headache. I'd like to avoid 700bar system due to the prices of elements. The only 'cheap' things @ 700bar are hydraulic cylinders. The rest is problematic. Going lower pressure i need to grow the cylinders diameter (plan to achieve 40 or 50 tonnes using two cylinders) bur regular gear pumps and valves (from agro world) should be fine. Do you have more photos/videos showing the hydraulic side of you brake? Are you still using it?
