Hi Peeps,
I received my replacement board, 7i96, and I finished the fine tuning on my axis. I am now was working on my home limit, auto homing , squaring the gantry, and my motors don't stop. I've checked my wiring and while I double checking my hardware I now know why.I have these LJ18A3-8-Z/BX Inductive Proximity Sensor Switch NPN DC6-36V D18mm . I ordered the wrong version of sensors , I meant to order the 5V not the 6-36V. I am aware I have to add a separate power supply for these sensors. I have a 24V mean well for this.
My specific question is how do i wire them up to the Mesa 7i96.
The sensor has 3 wire
brown <-> is +V in
black <-> data
blue, <-> negative
so I know i need to connect V+ out from the mean well power supply to the brown wire sensor, and this is where I'm stuck. What's next?
thank you in advance.

You would wire:
7I96 input common (TB3 pin 12) to Meanwell +24V
All limit switch negatives to Meanwell 24V common
Limit switch data pins to 7I96 inputs (on TB3)

Just to be clear as I don’t want to fry another board
What about the V+ From the proximity sensor, where does that go?

I would have to agree with other, when it comes to the documents in the homing section. it can be a bit confusing when trying to used the pnnconf wizard.

Positive travel ( ?)
Negative travel (?)
Home position location (?)
Home switch location (?)

My table its 50x50,inches, cutting surface.

If looking at the X axis ... I want a 48 inch travel left to right
When axis is homing/min limit mode . I would like machines When proximity sensor is tripped to offset .75 inch to the right which would be in the positive direction
what do you guys recommend

In the ini file
home_offset = 0.75
or most probably you will need -0.75, but that depends on how the other homing stuff is set up.

you can also make any value your HOME and or position your coordinate system to the CAM system
like my Y centerd at G53 point
IT homes towards positiv the switches triggers the Axis to 410.783 Center of a Rot A/C === G53 Y0 to switch
the machine ends up at Y400 after Homing
and travel limits to the G53 Y0 point
the BX version does trigger at 2mm against Steel 3mm against AL with 0,01mm accuracy at 30V

HOME = 400.0
MIN_LIMIT = -160.0
MAX_LIMIT = 411.5
HOME_OFFSET = 410.783
HOME_SEARCH_VEL = 5.0
HOME_LATCH_VEL = 3.0
HOME_FINAL_VEL = 4.0
HOME_SEQUENCE = 1

BLUE is 24V +
BLACK is Signal
Brown is GND of the 24V generator

Thanks guys for all the help,
I believe I have the the x-axis working ,and I’m working on the distance fine tuning of the y axis. I’m reading the linuxcnc doc and in the
the plasmac doc, section 5, and it states you need a working configuration before starting the plasmac configuration I understand that, but Can the optional setting be added later? As far as ohmic , float and scribe hal pin? Or get my table fully configured and cutting steel before going forward?
