HeeksCad/CNC help needed

HeeksCad/CNC help needed was created by Davenc
I have a heeks image file that I generated Gcode for using Heekscnc. The image is fine and is dimensionally accruate but after I generate the Gcode and load it into EMC2 it just looks like a bunch of garbage. I'm sure I not doing something correclty but just don't know what it is. I'l like to send the file to one of the guys that uses heeksCad/CNC just to see what they come up with when they try and generate the Gcode from HeeksCNC.
I have selected the EMC parameter in Heeks for generating Gcode specific to EMC so I'm sure that part is correct. Anyone willing to give this a try for me? I'll send the heeks file and the gcode it generated and hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks

Could you post or upload the file somewhere? Give us a screen shot of what it looks like in Heeks and Axis, if you can.

Dan I was hoping you'd respond since you seem to be having success with it. Here's the Gcode file that I open on axis. Does it need the % at the begining and ending of the file for axis to display it properly or is it ok as it is? I'll capture a the screen shots from both HeeksCad and EMC2 when I get home from work.
Thanks,

For what it's worth it runs fine for me. I did have to move my work offset so it was inside my limits on this config.

John,
So you can see the image of the part inside Axis? All I see is a small area of garbage at the point where x y and z are zero and then the shape of a LARGE rectangle. I'll post an image up of what I'm seeing. Like I said I know I'm doing something wrong but don't know what.
Thanks
Here's the screen capture of Heeks.

I might be wrong, but it looks like you have a bunch of different sketches that are made of different line segments. This makes it look like the paths are all going around the separate line segments- kind of like they are doing an outside profile around a stick. You can combine line segments into a common sketch and then order them. Are you trying to cut channels out of a solid block? Maybe think about creating a solid and then do some other solids to subtract from it. Then you might be able to approach the part with some other machining strategies.
I might be totally wrong on this. Let me know if I am.
Thanks,
Dan

Yes that's what I've done as far as having a bunch of sketches. I'll try to combine the line segments into a common sketch and order them as you suggested and then report back. Thanks man it makes sense now.

I was able to figure it out after playing with it a while. Basically I had to click on ONE sketch at a time (which I didn't know) and then set up the profile for each one. Man this thing is finicky. I'm sure there is another way to do this but I'm not sure if solids will work. I couldn't save the solid object as a dxf file though. According to my understanding of Heeks it has to be a sketch to create dxf files. I'm guessing solids can be saved as stl files then?
