PNCconf does not start

I already have a LinuxCNC configuration. It works.
But I can not run the PNCconf wizard. Immediately after the start i got the message (attachment).
The gif (/usr/share/linuxcnc/linuxcnc-wizard.gif) is ok.

GError:Unable to recognize image format in file "/usr/share/linuxcnc/linuxcnc-wizard.gif"

I've updated my system.
I instaled: PyCam, Inkscape, pstoedit

I've never seen this error. i assume you opened the gif and it's fine (you inferred this).
What version of linuxcnc are you using?
It must have worked at some time ? (you have other pncconf questions)
If it worked before and you haven't tinkered with pncconf or the gif that leads me to wonder about hardware problems.

Yes, file is ok.

2.7.11

PNCconf wizard worked. I used it for setting my machine.

So that makes it hard to diagnose.
Need to know what changed between it working and not (which i'm sure is lots)
hard to say for sure but seems related to your system rather then pncconf it's self.
You could try using a different gif (place it in same folder and rename it)

If any other info comes available please post back.

today morning I updated my computer and after that the PNCconf wizard started to work.

I am facing the same problem, but my computer is up to date. I am also using 2.7.11 and the file is o.k. I have a feeling that is has something to do with python, but I am not sure. Does anybody have an idea.

A few minutes after I raised the question, an update came in and fixed the issue
