Converting from Mach3 to Linuxcnc and set up

Hi all
I have a Taigturn2000 that came with Mach3 and a UC100 Decided to make the switch to Linuxcnc.
Got a Mesa 6i25 card to use as parport and flashed it with the G540 firmware.

Having trouble with the pncconf though. I have the readhmid file up but the pncconf wizard shows channels instead of pins and it's a bit confusing what goes where. Plus, when I look at the Mach3 settings, it seems to not list everything I need? I can find the X and Z step and dir, but nothing for estop or spindle or anything else.

Can anyone offer some assistance or guidance or links or anything?

Go to the Mesa web site, download the 5i25 files ( same thing as 6i25 for PCI slot ), and flash one of the files with G540 in it's name. No wiring required.

Right.
I've done this already.
I'm not sure of the next step after this

I get all the way through Pncconf and into Axis
But when i do anything, the machine does not respond.
I think i have the pinouts incorrectly assigned but i'm not sure what to look for.

Check your G540 if it has a small switch for turning off the charge pump ? If it does, turn it of and test again.

Another thing to check is that the step lengths are all set to 5 usec (5000 ns)
pncconfs default settings or G540 minimum timings are way to short for a G540

So, what I ended up doing is just hooking the lathe up to a different computer that I didn't need a mesa card for...
Now i'm using stepconf to try and set it up.

But thanks for the advice anyway :)
