I installed LCNC 2.8 which has 7i96 support in pncconf. Made a rough config and tried to start LCNC. Got a weird error about a missing pin. It seems like the board is found, though.

I'm totally new to LCNC, this was a rough start.

From the error report:
hm2: loading Mesa HostMot2 driver version 0.15
hm2_eth: loading Mesa AnyIO HostMot2 ethernet driver version 0.2
hm2_eth: 192.168.1.121: Hardware address: 00:60:1b:16:01:71

./HighZ.hal:10: parameter or pin 'hm2_7i76e.0.watchdog.timeout_ns' not found

From the HAL file:

From the ini file:
[HMOT]
CARD0=hm2_7i76e.0

Did you select 7i96 in pncconf?

I just tested with the latest version of 2.8 and its OK

Did you try updating to the latest 2.8 version?

Must be going blind....
The error says 7i76e, the rest is 7i96, so just replacing the 7i76e with 7i96 in the hal file should do the trick.

@tommylight: Yes, and thanks!!
When I read your question I got confused. I don't have a 7i76, but a 7i96.

It's probably a bug in the new pncconfig which leaves the wrong device name in the ini file. I corrected the name and now it works.

From the corrected ini file:
[HMOT]
CARD0=hm2_7i96.0

This does seem to be fixed in the latest 2.8 (at least it works for me)

The title said 7i76e, the error said the same thing, so i came to the conclusion you have a 7i76e! :)
