RPI4 with 7i96 - eSTOP not working on keyboard or axis GUI was created by Markyd
I've just received my 7i96 and 7i85 mesa boards. I've changed the PI's IP address and I can ping the 7i96. I've run PnCConf and created basis setup just to see if i can get it working. It loads up ok and seems to have connected. However, if I press F1 on the keyboard nothing happens. it will not come out of eSTOP. Ive also tried pressing the button on the axis gui, no joy. I had initially linked the estop to in input on the board that I hadn't wired to anything, so I've now edited that out of the hal and restarted linuxcnc. Still no luck.
Does anyone know what i have done wrong?

Can't really help without seeing your config files.

It seems that setting up hardware buttons inpnCconf disables the gui /keyboard buttons. I started again from scratch and left out the hardware buttons and the keyboard now works again.
