PWM on 7i76E was created by Philippe
Hello everybody,
I want to use the pwm on the mesa card 7i76e, i flash the FPGA with the file 7i76e_7i76x1pD.bit.
so i have the pwm signal on the pin Step+ or Step- (reverse). but it appear when the machine is on.
my request is to active the signal just when the axis X is moving. and dir+/dir- change when axis X increase or decrease.

so do you have an idea to do

You may have to invert the PWM polarity and use the output (+or -) that is inactive
at power on to ensure that the PWM is inactive at power on and when exiting LinuxCNC

Ok , if i understand in the hal File i put the value at 0 and i put it at 40% for example when the axis X is mouving.
so, what is the signal of x that i can to choose to apply the value on the parameter pwgen.value
Thx

Did you try:
1. Choosing the output (between the + and - PWM outputs) that is inactive
(= 0 PWM for your circuit) at power on
2. Inverting the PWM output in the hal file
