new 5i25, ordered without daughterboards: does it already have firmware loaded?

My impression from reading about other Mesa board combos is that they load firmware that matches the expected use based on the daughtercard(s) you order, and if you order a 5i25 by itself they ship it with the firmware that generally matches the stock parallel port. Is this true? I've done a fair bit of searching on it and have seen other people indicate that they had the right firmware already loaded.
I'm a bit nervous about using mesaflash and am hoping what I have is already set up more or less like I need. (Which is I believe PROB_RFX2)
