Segmentation Fault was created by FlashPackets
halrun -k -v
halcmd: loadrt hostmot2
/usr/bin/halrun: line 159: 13776 Segmentation fault $INTERACTIVE
Note: Using POSIX realtime
hm2: loading Mesa HostMot2 driver version 0.15
There is no joy in Leadville, any advice on dealing with this?

That's what I thought.
Can this problem result from an incomplete HAL file?
I'm trying to get a 7i92h up and humming.

Sounds something like a corrupted file from a bad download or failing hardware (like a dying HD.)

After a day of experimentation it seems that the origins of the SEGFAULT are the result of trying to have more than one instance of halcmd.
So if I should type
halcmd show all
it will run on the command line and exit
and then
halcmd loadrt hostmot2
it SEGFAULTS as it was already running as a deamon process.
At least that's what seems to be happening.
