Which FPGA card are you connecting it to?
It should, to a large extent, just work if the FPGA card has the correct firmware.
Unless you mean the 7i76E or 7i76ED? Those connect directly to the Ethernet port.

7i76d this is the one I have for db25, I didn't know I had to have an FPGA to be able to connect it.
Is it completely necessary to have FPGA???

Sorry, yes.
The 7i76 is a relatively "dumb" card. It can't be driven by a simple parallel port, for example.
The 7i76 is generally paired with a 5i25 or 5i25 (PCI / PCIe ) or with something like a 7i92 (ethernet connected)
