PncConfig Errno 13 during setup

Howdy folks, longtime listener, first time caller... 

So I'm setting up LinuxCNC for the first time, using the Mesa 7i96s card, and a Debian 11 OS. I have all that loaded and the Mesa card is connected to the computer. 

Running the PNCconfig app I'm getting the following error and was hoping someone might be able to help out.

I'm not an expert on Linux, but error number 13 is permission denied. I'd check to make sure you have file permissions to the folders and files that you are attempting to use.
