The driver should do this automatically based on the firmware token on the command line:
loadrt hm2_7I43 config="firmware=hm2/7i43/SVST4_4B.BIT"
loadrt hm2_7I43 config="firmware=hm2/7i43/SVST4_4B.BIT"

can you explain more the problem your having?
If you are using pncconf, the command is in the hal file.
if you are having problems with the config loading please post the error message and tell us what version of EMC you are using.

So my problem is when I try to creat a new configuration to 4 axis and when I try to test tune/axis an error occurs, I think that i need to send the firmware first it's ok?
PNCconf encountered an error. The following information may be useful in troubleshooting:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/pncconf", line 5772, in update_tune_axis_params
halrun.flush()
IOError: [Errno 32] Canal quebrado
My emc version is 2.4.6

Can you start EMC with the demo 7I43 hm2-servo config from the menu?

It is not possible to edit that config with pncconf. (it was not made by pncconf0
have you downloaded the hostmot2 firmwares?
they would be in /lib/firmware/hm2/7i43-2
try this command:
halrun
loadrt hm2_7i43 config="firmware=hm2/7i43-4/SVST4_4.BIT num_encoders=4 num_pwmgens=4 num_stepgens=4"
can you post your pncconf made hal file?

I see the last bug fixes I pushed have not been released yet.
The firmware names are wrong and the connector numbering is wrong.
aside from using a run-in-place version of EMC (instead of a released version)
there is no easy way around this.
If you look at the pncconf's HAL file the line that loads the firmware probably says SV4_4 instead of SVST4_4
You could manually change that and the config should load but there was a problem with the GPIO being on the wrong connector...
