Hello,
I made again a fresh install on Debian10 and build the deb package which I then installed on the same machine and it worked.
I also tried to install the configuration tool following jethornton.github.io/7i76e/install.html
starting the 7i76e I get
Since this is the second install on a fresh machine with the same error I wonder if this should be working?
thank you very much for your help

Hi
do you realy need the Tool for a Real machine or just playing with the experimentel stuff
the PNC Conf can make a 5i25 7i76 that can be used very quick for a machine
Please Keep in mind the Setup tool is only for the basic Configuration of a machione you will need to interact the Files INI
and HAL for a furrther and better setup
It is by far not like the"M" gui as it is based on the setup files not on a interface you can chouse freely to use

OK if you say I don't need it, I will skip it.
The standard setup works...
What is the "M" gui you are referring to?
So still to deal with Hal and ini, that's hard tobaco

pncconf for 2.8 or later should support the 7I76E
I don't think JTs 7I76E config tool is finished
