Regarding Repositories

Hello, I just wonder if I have this right...
Having installed Buster from the downloads section, I want to install some probing routines which come as a .zip file.
Back when I had Wheezy installed, I recall there was an unzip program already there.
I cannot find the same thing in this version of Buster and I cannot seem to be able to get a decompression program to be able to unzip the files I have to commence their install.
Are the repositories limited to keep from bloating the OS?
I feel somewhat embarrassed by this but for the life of me I cannot get these files unzipped, nor am I making any headway with my research to do so...
A sudo apt update followed by apt install unzip doesn't do much for me... Is it a repository thing given the image installed??
Thanks.

sudo apt install unzip gave me unable to locate package unzip.
How do I steer this towards:
packages.debian.org/buster/unzip
??

Its odd that that did not work. what if you try zip instead?
Will they untar?
I guess the other way would be to unzip on another pc an copy to usb stick.

Thanks Rod, I've just unzipped on a PC and will try that...
Still unsure why I cannot get access to any other decompression software out there via this Buster image from the downloads section...
Again, when I had Wheezy it would do it natively, but again, I ma wondering whether the buster image was kept lean? In which case I wonder how I can ultimately get other programs onto this PC then??
I just need a little background on the process and wonder whether the repositories are limited?
I was in Atherton just last weekend and I don't think too much would have changed since 1990!!!

/etc/apt/sources.list
This random link might help
computingforgeeks.com/add-debian-10-bust...ies-to-sources-list/

Given the culture and the vibe up here... ALMOST CERTAINLY
Southerners from Melb and Syd think Brisbane is quite a ways north, but don't understand that Cairns/Mareeba/Atherton is still some 1800km further north, and about another 1000km up to the tip!
I have family in Europe and it is almost impossible for them to fathom that those distances and places are even in the same country, let alone the same state!!
So I completely concur, I recon FNQ is pretty much a whole 'nuther country hehehe
