display current feedrate was created by jamby
Hi
I've just started using linuxcnc and the Axis gui. Is there a place where the current feedrate in the program?
I tried the Gmoccapy gui and it shows 20 ipm but that doesn't reflect the program.
Thanks
Jim

Yes there is. But unfortunately depending on the View options you have selected it can not be seen. If you pull down the View menu there is a "Show velocity" option, make sure that is checked. Now Just above that is a "Show offsets" option, make sure that is unchecked. If the Show offsets option is checked in the view menu then the Current Velocity and the DTG readouts are replaced in the preview DRO by the offset information.

Weird, once I switched over the machine started miss handling the feedrates. So after a ground up power off reboot things started working. The Velocity only shows up in the preview window but in the DRO window all the offsets, dtg, and positions show up but no Velocity.
I'd like the Feedrate in the DRO. So maybe that's something I can play with later.
Thanks Todd
