Stepper motor scale adjustment

Is there a simple way or trick of calculating and adjusting the stepper motor scale in Pathpilot?

How this is set depends on your hal and ini file setup, with your previously posted files these are set in the ini file:
(in the axis 0 section for example)
SCALE = -8017

This number (-8017) represents the number for steps per machine unit (inches in this case)
so you need to calculate the number of steps per machine unit for your mechanics/stepdrive-settings

For direct drive step motor systems this would normally be 200*ustep*leadscrew turns-per-inch

(ustep is the number of usteps per full step so would be 4 for 1/4 step driver setting etc)

The sign of the scale (-8017 currently) changes the motion direction
