Spindle GtkHscale[scl_spindle] error was created by korbendallas78
Dear,
In the gmoccapy, the GtkHscale[scl_spindle] does not change the spindle speed pins (motion.spindle-speed-out,etc.) in negative direction. In positive direction its work perfectly. Pls help!

Please post you config. I am pretty sure it is a config error.

Scl_spindle is for spindle override, not for the spindle revs.

I' ve tried in many configuration. Same problem. I checkink the motion.spindle-speed-out , motion.spindle-speed-out-abs, motion.spindle-speed-out_rps, motion.spindle-speed-out-rps-abs in the Hal Meter. If the spindle is turn on negativ direction this values doesn't change in the Hal Meter. If the spindle turn the positve direction it changes. Please try it, you will see!

It is an IN Pin, so it is correct not to change!!!!

May be i find some time next week to look at this. A short look in your hal file shows, that you have not configured spindle ccw no hal connection to that kind of pin!

Please test with gmoccapy sim and report if that do work.

@korbendallas78,

as I could not sleep, due to the behavior you described, I tested with configs / sim / gmoccapy / gmoccapy.ini

with Linuxcnc 2.7 and gmoccapy 1.5.6.1 and with master and gmoccapy 1.5.6.3

  • get out of estop
  • switch the machine on
  • home all axis
  • goto MDI page and enter S2000 M3
  • goto settings page
  • click on button halshow
  • add to watch tab
  • * motion.spindle-speed-out-rps
    * motion.spindle-speed-out-abs
    * motion.spindle-speed-out
  • go back to manual tab
  • change the slider and you will see values do change
  • stop the spindle pressing the stop button
  • values are zero
  • start spindle in reverse and watch the values
  • change the override slider and you will see the values do change

So no bug or error on my side.

Norbert
