Keyboard functions was created by chopper79
Hello.

I did a quick search and did not find what I was looking for. I am using Gmoccapy for one of my builds and I enabled keyboard shortcuts, but have found that the following key commands do not function.

R = program run
P = program pause
S = program resume

I understand that the gui was designed for touchscreen use, but I like to have a physical keyboard attached as well for easy of functionality. Is there a way to add the above mentioned keyboard shortcut keys to Gmoccapy?

Thanks

Hallo,

it is correct, the mentioned shortcuts are not supported.
If there are more people wishing to integrate that features, I will do it.

Otherwise, you will have to change the python code of gmoccapy.

What release of gmoccapy are you using?

Thank you for the response.

I am using version that is in master right now. Sorry do not know the version number, just the version bundled with master from 3 weeks ago.

I can attempt to add these in python if you could kindly point me in the right direction of the locations I would need to add the code. Also if you could provide just an example of the code string that I would be adding.

Love the interface also by the way, the more I use it the more it grows on me.

Thanks

Chop

Hallo Chop,

I just uploaded a new testing branch for you.

Please pull:
gmoccapy_additional_keyboard_shortcuts

you should get gmoccapy release 2.3.4:

I introduced new keyboard shortcuts (not case sensitive)
R = run program
P = pause program
S = resume program
This keys will only work in auto mode, not being in edit mode and
a program must be loaded. Pause and resume do only work if a
program is running and / or paused.

If you give me your okay after testing that branch, I will merge that in master.

Sorry I have not. I have been very busy and I tried to do a pull the other night and I got a return in terminal that there was no gmoccapy_additional_keyboard_shortcuts to pull. So I went to github and did not find it as well. I am sure I am doing something wrong on the pull as this would be the first time I have used github to pull something.

This is something that I am still very interested in testing, just could not get it pulled to test.

I am intrested in too. Under 2.7.15 I have macro running warming spindle. It starts to tool change position, M0 pausing macro until tool is placed in holder and spindle nut fixed, then pressing S in axis, meaning resume, it goes to safe location and start warming spindle 5000, 10000, 15000, eventually 20000. This macro cannot work in gmoccapy dus to shortcut restriction, or resume button access. Reason having 2.7.15 is gmoccapy posibility to have instance for macros as well as to run in resolution 800x600.
Looking foreards to get some support having shortcuts R,S,P under 1.5.x gmoccapy_lcd7. Ghank gou
