5 AXIS? was created by eighthaxis
Hello Norbert I had originally installed your older version of Gmoccapy into my 5 axis machining center.
I looked at your newest version and it says it can only run 4 axis. Is this true and if so is there an easy fix? I also read you won't be supporting the older versions.
Thanks,
Josh

Gmoccapy 3.nn does support 9 axis and gmoccapy 2 does support 5 axis and 7 joints.
Did I documented It wrong somewhere?

Glad to hear that, thanks for your prompt response.
This is where I read it can only display 4 axis, on page 106 in the Gmoccapy Introduction.:

Hi Norbert I am back on this project.
I am working on configuring a new .ini and .hal file and when I run GMOCCAPY it tells me I have error and that GMOCCAPY can only handle 4 axis and that my ini file specifies 5 axis.
How do you recommend I resolve this?

I am am sure you are using an old release of gmoccapy. Update to LinuxCNC 2.8 or master.

Thanks for your reply Norbert.
OK
I checked I have 2.7.14 which seems to be the only option available from linuxcnc.org downloads page.
Where do I download 2.8?
Do I need to format the hard drive and install a new operating system as well?
Or is there a SUDO terminal command to remove and replace the old version from the terminal?
Thanks,
Josh

WOW! What a supreme pain in the ass.
2 days later got new operating system running:
Debian Stretch /Cinnamon GUI LinuxCNC 2.8
Finally got LinuxCNC installed after about half a dozen hurdles.
Can't someone just make an image that has LinuxCNC working already?
Anyway my new challenge is getting all 5 Axis to work in Gmoccapy.
My new error is:
DEBUG INFORMATION:
Note: Using POSIX realtime
./Bostomatic.hal:262: parameter or pin 'pid.b.Pgain' not found
