Change the power supply, it seems to be to weak for what you need it.

Hi Tommy, I currently have them powered with 36V and I have one of 12V too for the 7i76 and both wired together to power the spindle with 48V. Should I have several power supplies, such as one for every two drivers, more voltage or what do you recommend?

I would check the power supply voltages and step drive status LEDs
when you get a fault.

If all Axis stall at once, (and there are no errors from LinuxCNC) it does
suggest a power supply issue.

No they don't stall at once and I never get errors from linuxCNC. What do you mean with check the voltages?

I mean for example put a voltmeter on the stepper supply voltage to see if it is sagging/dropping out when you get a stall

I have the fault especially in the Y axis, the dual, I hear a strange noise and stops one of the steppers or both, occasionally in X, but very rarely. Before I tried to disconnect everything except the Y axis to dedicate the entire 36V source to both drivers but it does the same. I will try to measure voltage as you tell me. Thank you.

When the motors stall do they continue to make noise ?

The strange noise they do when stopping. The process would be as follows: I run the program (or perform continuous jogging), everything goes well and suddenly the steppers emits the noise, stops briefly and usually continues with the execution of the program, but of course with the corresponding loss of correct position and their respective disaster in the piece. It is a kind of slowdown. In the Linuxcnc screen everything is normal, there is no error message and the trajectories are continuous but it is not real.

That sounds like normal stall so there are two things you can try:
Set the step time and step space in the ini file to a higher value
Lower the velocity in the ini file to where you get no stalls, and then lower it a bit more to be on the safe side and to have some room for the cutting forces.

The Step Time parameter does not figure me, should I write it ?. Attached INI file.
