Edit 1 : change title

I'm new to LinuxCNC and to this forum.

I have build a CNC console for a DIY routeur 800x800x300 (see this topic ).

I have installed LinuxCNC 2.7.14 from live CD.
the PC is based on an ASRock J3355B-ITX board with 4GB RAM, 120GB SSD drive.
with this configuration the latency was to big (near 1000000ns). I add a Sapphire Radeon HD6450 graphic card in order to reduce the Jitter. Now latency test give me this result :

With this value I set the Jitter the maximum in StepConf Wizard to this :

1
After, I run one axis test :

The result was very bad :

This image show pulse signal. The frequency give me an expected result with 400mHz where I hope to get 2kHz.

I'm a beginner in Linux and I don't know to proceed. Can you guide me through to solve this issue ?

That is all good, wire the drives and motors, you can tune them later.
You need to know the drive microstepping and screw pitch for the values in stepconf.
Click on "tester cet axe" and raise the velocity there for testing.

Thanks for answer,

The screw pitch is good.
I have set the microstepping according to the driver (lead shine MA860H) setting.
I have wired the driver and the motors ans the speeds don't seems realistic. With a 2.5[strike]ms[/strike]s step period the motors move very slowly.

I don't understand why when I change the Step area this has an effect on stepper speed.

I have made some adjustment in the stepconf. I getting a better speed but it depends on the test area.
Some exemples :
AreaPluse Freq.
0,01mm250Hz
0,1mm63Hz
1,00mm26Hz

Set the drives to 4x microstepping
Tell us what the screw pitch is or how many millimeters do they move for one (1) turn
Set the step time and step space to 10000
set the dir hold and dir "reglage" to 20000
Set the stepconf to 4x drive microstepping
Set the velocity to 50
Set acceleration to 300
finish the stepconf and save the configuration
Now you can test and change the JOG velocity in Linuxcnc so you can get faster motor spining.

I'm on the way. Pinout is wrong.

I try to get the good Parport config with the good pinout in Stepconf.

Find the solution.

It is not a computer or OS problem but a user mistake. I have wired the break board form 2 to 9 & 14 and I entered 1 to 9 in Stepconf (See image)

Correcting Stepconf pinout and parameter with tommylight value. It's works !

Machine is not build yet, so I can't check direction. I just can see motors running
