It was in the other topic on the 1.0rc

forum.linuxcnc.org/18-computer/43988-rem...ting?start=30#224743

loadrt remora chip_type=STM SPI_clk_div=16 PRU_base_freq=40000

BTW as a minimum for the Monster 8 as it's the same MCU as the SKR2
Code:
loadrt remora chip_type=STM

I was reading some issues with marlin and the monster8 about using the sd card and the spi1 on exp2 at the same time, Im not 100% of its related to the pinout of the lcd screens/marlin configuration or not, but anyways, they are using a software pin instead of PA4 , so I did a software nss for spi1 cs pin but it did not seem to make a difference.

Also I noticed the robin doesnt deinitialize block device in main.cpp so i removed that section but still nothing.

I am stumped now as to where I go from here, or what to troubleshoot. I can start probing spi shit but ill have to read up about it first.

I want to know if you can use EXP1 instead of EXP2 when using skr v1.4 turbo

No, there is not an available SPI connection on EXP1, they are on EXP2 and the SD card.

The firmware is configured for comms on SPI1. Note that I have not tested this board myself but others have it working.

I am assuming serial port is serial 1 I get my connection on cutecom but when I reset the board I get nothing in the terminal window. I installed the .bin file via stlink 2 and have config.txt on sd card, Led 2 lights when I have the sd card in the slot so that tells me it is accessing the card but that's it!

I'm not getting a spi signal out of raspberry pi according to my logic analyser that being said I now know why I threw it in a box in the corner a decade ago one of the input drivers is shot and supplied 12v to the stm32 so 1 down grabbed a fresh one out of the box and try again
