Hi Mauro,
please report:
- how exactly did you install LinuxCNC
- exactly which commands did you execute before the error appeared
- Michael

Hi Michael.
i have installed linuxcnc from latest Ubuntu cd with linuxcnc 2.5.0 in a clean disk.
upgraded to 2.5.1
software sources = buildbot.linuxcnc.org/ lucid master-rt
upgraded to 2.6.0 master copy my machine config into home/linuxcnc.
the cnc run properly...
if i open: sample config/sim/remap/remap with tool probe ........ emc do not start and give these error.
my hardware: intel 945 cpu atom 230 2gb ram
Mesa 7i43-u-4 parallel card
I hope to have written everything you need
thanks

likely something is wrong with your installation - can you run any other configuration?
I suggest to remove the 2.5.* installations and then install only the 2.6.0

It other configurations sim / axis depart regularly.
with my configuration of 2.5.1 can work perfectly with the 2.6.0pre.
I will try to install 2.6 directly without 2.5 but I'm not very experienced ..
thanks
