Thank you for new firmware for PWM DIR, PCW
I plan to use the basic 7i95 hal and ini you give us for starting editing. Until now i used PncConf but now i am only unclear what i need to change by hand in this files who are made for step and dir to be working like PWM DIR
Or should i use basic7i97 files because i want to drive 7i95 with PWM DIR. What files should be mu starting point and what should i change in PWM sections in the Hal/INI .
Thanks again

Hi,
Sorry I'm totally new here and to all this.
I have a 7i95, which I so far managed to connect to and to jog my servos with, using a pnfconf for a 7i96 and replacing the board names instances.
I'm now trying to connect an MPG to the first counter on the isolated input pins.
I changed this in the HAL file:
# ---jogwheel signals to mesa encoder - x axis MPG---
net x-jog-count <= hm2_7i95.0.inm.00.enc0-count
It's throwing me an error at start up, saying the Pin doesn't exist.
What am i doing wrong?
thanks a lot!

ok, found it.
turns out the right spelling is inmux, so:
# ---jogwheel signals to mesa encoder - x axis MPG---
net x-jog-count <= hm2_7i95.0.inmux.00.enc0-count

Hi Guys,
Help me please I'm lost: 7i95 with LinuxCNC 2.10.0 works fine except input pins on TB5 (input 16-23)
If I connect the same wires to TB6 input 0-3 then I see in HAL monitor if the status of the port is changed, but if I connect same wires to TB5 pin 1-6 (simply use the same connector head just unplug it from TB6 and plug to TB5) then I can't see any status change not even in HAL monitor even pins are there.
I tried all inputs on TB5 and none of them worked, but all inputs are fine on TB6.
What could be wrong?
I simply load hm2 _eth without any specifications (num_stepgens=5, num_encoders=5"
I tried it with fresh install from scratch result is the same and card is brand new, never used / connected any wire to TB5 before so I ruled out hardware damage as corresponding LEDs indicated (correctly) the status change on the board.
Thank you!
Tamas

Hardware damage is unlikely as the 7I95 isolated inputs well take up to 48V continuously
and even brief contact to 120VAC will not cause damage.
Is the 7I95 using standard firmware?
What does
halcmd show param hm2_7i95.0.inmux
show?
