The spindle : bt-30 power head
The spindle motor : AC servo 1.5 kw max rpm 3000 rpm
torque : 5 N.M

They are not infront of me right now, but I think both have 14 mm shaft with key

intended for small milling machine.

Best regards

Philip

Along with Brecoflex, B&B Manufacturing and Rainbow Precision are sources I use for belts & pulleys.

For pulley mounting where a taper-lock or similar tapered bush isn't available, keyless shaft bushings are an excellent choice.  Very strong shaft grip, excellent runout, and easy to use if you're making your own pullies from pre-hobbed blanks (or raw stock)

Before you commit to a timing belt, consider a poly-v (milti-rib, many names) profile.  They are considerably quieter than timing belts, and can still be used for a rigid-tapping setup if you put an encoder directly on the spindle. Downside is they require a bit more belt tension - and thus bearing loads - than timing belts.

If you absolutely must have a timing belt and are willing to spend a bit more than typical HTD prices, Continental's SilentSynch are almost as quiet as poly-v's.  Downside is the pulley selection is less broad than with standard timing belt profiles and they can get pricey.

I've purchased all my HTD belts and pulleys from Norelem. They have all been of very high quality.

I visited all sites in the replies

regarding tapered bushing naming

for example 1108 means the max bore it can be selected for the group is 1.1 inch, and the length is .8 inches.

While my shaft is in metric system.

I found many companies list for example 1108 tapered bushing with metric shafts. Little confusing for me because , either use imperial or metric not a mix.

In all cases I will be buying pulleis/tapered bushings combination as a set, I will not try to buy them individually and try to match. Eventhough, it should not be complicated anyway just precaution.

Now I have to perform the calculations regarding torque based on the servo motor maximum torque and teeth engagement

Best regards

Philip

All you need to worry about is that the taper is the same in the pulley and the bushing.
If the pulley size you want comes with, say, a 1210 taper then you need to look for a bushing with a 1210 taper and a metric bore with the diameter you need.
