the hyst comp is not included in linuxcnc

download archive here: forum.linuxcnc.org/24-hal-components/360...gger?start=10#151335
unpack archive
install with halcompile
Code:
halcompile --install hyst.comp

Thanks again Roland,
Works fine. Giving me the urge to add Rapid OVR also. I however set it to 1% increments, more used to it.

I could really use this hyst.comp to settle down jumpy analog overrides.

Unfortunately the comp file archive linked here is no longer available and I can't figure out if something similar has been added to linuxcnc in the meantime.

Is there now a better way to do this kind of thing natively in Linuxcnc 2.8.1 or does it still require a custom component?

Maybe someone has a copy of that original hyst.comp file that I could use?

Cheers
Linus

Most likely the 7I77 is not set into a mode that supports analog inputs
Modes 1,2,3 support analog inputs

You change this with the "sserial_port_0=Something" command line argument
in the hal or ini file.

With most 7I77 firmware, sserial_port_0=200xxx should work
