HI Todd , its been a while since this post , but Im still struggling with this issue.

Finally I have been able to install the RT kernel , now boot over the new kernel , Im trying adding the buildbot to the repo files.

This is unable to fetch, Http is not found , looks like the link has been remove or maybe moved from server. The same if I try adding " deb http:// linuxcnc.org/wheezy base 2.7 -uspace "

Is there any other way to archive this ? can you please provide any help ?

Thanks.

I think you need
Code:
deb http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/ wheezy 2.7-rtpreempt

Hi Todd , Thanks for you soon answers

Precisely adding that line to the repositories files is where I'm having the message.

I have been trying removing and adding spaces and quotes , but same message return , its not able to fetch or connect to the HTTP.

So far what I have is a fresh install of Debian 7.11 , without Linux CNC , then the Preempt Rt kernel.
I have confirmed thru the uname -v , command.

Do I have to install a previous version of the Linux CNC , then upgrade ?

Im a little bit confused , Im not a Linux guy , but willing to learn , even though will take some time.

Is there any thing else I might try ? I don't want to go over a pre configured hard drive.

Thanks.

Hey,

You can build linuxcnc like this how-to if you'd like to try it.

Just look under the heading for building LinuxCNC.

As far as the repo goes. Click on the package manager and look closely at the entry in additional repositories. Are you sure it's correct?

If it appears correct, delete the entry and cut and paste it back in again.

forum.linuxcnc.org/9-installing-linuxcnc...install-or-deb#86196

Look at buildbot.linuxcnc.org and check the line you need to enter. You could also try master as well. Version 2.8pre is the version of master. 2.7.8 is latest stable.

Hi Todd

I believe my problem is in the Synaptic Manager , Im not able to check the Souce Code box in the setting for repositories.
