Pliers, isolating tape, and lots and lots of coffee !Esaber wrote: What do you think?
That looks OK so far.
And do try to find the machine schematics, that will save you a lot of time, like a lot. Schematics are in a big book weighing at over 5KG, so if you do find it, do not drop it on your feet, you'll be limping for a week !

Mesa's best kept secret is the little strip of bus bar shown here to the right of the 7i96. 2 banks x 12 common connectors but eusurplus might not stock them. Saves a lot of space. 1 bank for+24v and 1 bank for -24v field power. Failing that a good supply of din rail mount connectors and common strips to tie banks of connectors together similar to whats shown.
Also the RS components 888-6843 relay is a nice compact (6mm wide) din rail opto isolated relay. You have to buy in packs of 5. I use them instead of the panel relays now. I'll let you find the right web site for your country but here is Australia

Very nice and tidy, for gnd, +5V, +24V, and +whatever V for the drives. Under 15 Euro a piece, IIRC.

rodw wrote: I would mount your mesa boards on DIN rail (7i96, THCAD-10, THCAD-5 shown). Mesa make a bracket but I suspect eusurplus make their own. The THCADs are mounted on a DIN rail mount I fabricated with some standoffs.

Nice and clean setup.
I will get the din rail and ask eusurplus about the bus bar.
I'm getting those RS relays too.
I understand I need 4 of them.
Will be adding them to the list

Nope,Esaber wrote: Do the Mesa cards and THCAD come with din rail support brackets?
eusurplus.com/index.php?route=product/pr...=59_66&product_id=56
Also the plates are not expensive and they are very strong, i do have one for 7i76 left that was sent by mistake instead of 7i77, and another one with the 7i77 mounted on it, you can throw that thing from the 5th floor and it would survive! Also have a lot of the raisers.
I like the DIN rail more as i can mount everything on it, wire it, test it, and then just bolt 2 screws on the control box.
Better ask the friend that is making the case/panel what would be easier for him to mount.
