I found an example ngc file and in qtdragon I get an error after which I have to restart qtradon. In axis and gmoccapy it's ok, apparently only qtdragon uses gcode_editor.py. He doesn't like some of the comment characters, after deleting the characters with tails it's ok.

hmm I don't get this error with your test program.
Can you tell me what python version you are using?
(open a terminal type: python3)

The problem is in gcode_editor.py . In the version from Sep 15, 2022 it still works fine, in newer versions there is already a problem. It seems to me that comments in gcode should be accepted in every language of the world.

Yes I was hoping it was related to python version. I test with a newer version then you.
3.8.10.

could you try changing the line 110 to :

source = source.decode("utf-8", "ignore")

see if that helps?
