Fern,
could you prepare a deb package for debian buster, please?
and at least master branch.

also, the install instructions need a bit of TLC.

Thanks.

I just installed NativeCAM on Buster using the Synaptics Manager.
After installing ncam -h worked.

I had tried using using the install instructions in this forum that use ncam_debsetup.txt listed in other messages in this forum, but it did not work. I was making it too difficult as usual.

It looks like Stretch is the latest release at: packagecloud.io/FernV/NativeCAM

I'm not an expert, but if Buster doesn't show up on that list (make sure to check it), you should be able to install it using these steps (they worked for me):
1. Open a terminal and run this:
sudo apt update -y
2. Then this:
sudo apt upgrade -y
3. Now run:
curl -s https://packagecloud.io/install/repositories/FernV/NativeCAM/script.deb.sh | sudo bash
4. Open Applications > System > Synaptic Package Manager
5. Navigate to Settings > Repositories
6. Click on the one for packagecloud.io/FernV/NativeCAM/debian/
7. Change the name from buster to stretch in the Distribution field
8. Click OK (Reload when prompted)
9. Close Synaptic Package Manager (if you don't, you probably can't run the next command)
10. Back at your terminal, run this:
sudo apt install nativecam
11. Then this:
ncam
12. You should see a prompt to create a new directory, and if Axis is open it will ask to restart it.
13. You should answer yes to both.
14. NativeCAM should open in a separate window.

Thenks, for your help topic, russtuff.
I've loose few hours to unsuccesfully install nativecam, but with your help I made it in 2 minutes.

I want to add some clarification.
You need to repeat steps 1 and 2 after step 10.
