Hey PWC,

Thanks for the info. I'll see if those changes are already in Pathpilot and if not I'll figure out how to implement them.

Did you have a chance to look at creating the .bin file for the Tormach? If you need any info from the control, just let me know :)

Here's a pic of the .hal file if it's helpful

File Name: 5i25t_tormach2d.zip
File Size:162.83 KB

Note that I'm not sure about the encoder inputs. I am assuming both are A inputs
and that the rapidturn encoder is not correct as Tormach has special interpolation
code for this (1 PPR encoder)

Merry Christmas!

I know this is not my thread, but can I ask how hostmot2 is compiled and installed from source files to .so file ? (if that is the correct extension), I tried Halcompile in my innocence...makefile in mesaflash folder creates a hostmot2.o but I'm not sure how to progress..

Many thanks and best wishes for the upcoming year
Dorro

Any help idiots guide would be greatly appreciated.

Ever get the newer hostmot driver working in pathpilot? I have the same issue, a 5i25T. I see the pathpilotmanager.py, the pci ID is easy to change there but won't work without the newer hostmot driver.

Any info on what was done would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks !
