Hypertherm MAX PRO 200 CNC Connections - Quick Question

Hello guys

I have a max pro 200 Plasma from Hypertherm, which i got used in a CNC machine.
This generator has two cables going to the CNC,
one is the cable that goes to the CNC outputs, which is triggering the arc and probably receiving an ARC OK status.
The other goes to the height controler PHC which i won't use. (I'll build a new system to replace this).

The problem is that the manual is not clear enough. Although "CNC Start" seems pretty obvious and will probably trigger the arc, the other signals aren't so clear.

"CNC Motion" Could this be used as an ARC OK Signal? by closing the relay contact.
"CNC HOLD" What is this supposed to be? Will it "maintain" the arc ON ? so it will be a relay with the same purpous as CNC start basically?

What about the voltage? I will be using a THCAD with voltage divider. can i find any evidence of having a voltage divider built in this system?

1,2 torch on, from relay controlled by Mesa or parallel or BOB
5,6 XFER means arc transferred from pilot to cut, so goes to input on Mesa or parallel or BOB, this is active low signal, so might need +5 or 12 or 24V to be provided on the other side.

3,4 Hold, not used as LinuxCNC has it's own "pierce delay".
Does the plasma have a pot with 0-10 or 1-10? That should be time in seconds to wait after arc transfer for the machine to move. All MAX series i worked with had this, no need to use, reason stated above.

As for voltage, there should be connections for it inside the plasma, but i did not see the terminal numbers in the attached pictures, or maybe i need thicker glasses! :)

I managed to shoot the arc!! :D

Now i'm trying to do exactly what you said, feed +24v to get arc ok.

Also, im considering to get the arc voltage from the back of the maxpro200 like this. is it correct?
should i wire the ground to the star ground in the plasma cutter?

That would be the worst place to wire the divider/thc.
Try finding the rectifier output, that would be the best place for it.
Just follow the thick wires.

Pilot arc, high frequency and very high voltage goes through those wires.
All those have protection against that inside, near the main rectifier, hence that is where the voltage should be taken.

As far as I know the MAXPRO 200 is a high frequency/high voltage start machine
That means on starting, there are many thousands of volts flowing around.
Ther are photos on this forum of a THCAD that has been subject to these voltages and burst into flames on a much smaller machine where the torch voltage was picked up in front of the HF start module.
What Tommy is saying is you must connect the THCAD behind the High frequency module to avoid joining this example of what not to do.
