Probing alert on missing parameters

Most of the time, when I try to probe, I get a debug message saying the feed rate (most often) or tool is not set (says to load tool 0 when its set to 99).  Which they are set (see attached screenshot).  If I "change" them to the same value, it works fine.  I am using the latest update (from a few weeks ago).  Also, note that the parameters are saved correctly in the .var file.  Not sure what else to check.

You're either missing parameters in your var file or you need to update for the latest fix which was done shortly after the latest push was released due to a format error. If you verify your car has the correct car numbers listed so parameters can be saved persistently t then it's an update you need to run to resolve.

Yes as stated they are being saved to the .var file.

How do I know what release of Probe Basic I am running, the about does not have any release versions listed. I installed via the repositories. I did upgrade via apt....

python3-qtpyvcp/develop,now 5.0.2-19.dev amd64 [installed]
python3-probe-basic/develop,now 0.6.0-118.dev amd64 [installed]

The github pages shows 0.4.0, so not sure if I have the correct release.

Your picture above, you have to 99 listed as probe tool. But no tool loaded in software. Shows 0 as being the loaded tool.
