Paid Consulting Opportunity

Hi everyone,

My team is using ProbeBasic / Linux CNC on a 5-axis CNC milling machine we are developing.  We've got most everything up, but don't have the INI file for the machine working properly.  To be specific, we're getting a lot of out of bounds and tool change errors.  Many (most) of the example NGC files that come with LinuxCNC don't work.  We fix one thing just to run into another blocker.  We could use some paid help.

You're Mr. Helpful, Tommy - no sarcasm at all.

I suspect the OP has an issue with the Probe Basic ATC control scheme not meshing with their hardware.  Same thing I ran in to when I was setting up my mill - I don't have a 'dumb' on/off motor with geneva drive, so the ATC subroutines aren't gonna work.

I'm betting that as a business they would rather spend money to get things sorted than go back-and-forth over the forum for days/weeks.  Regardless of how awesome the forum members are, sometimes you just want to buy your way out of a jam.
