qtdragon - Basic_Probe macro files not found -Probing disabled

Hi all,
I have started the demo version of qtdragon. Unfortunately the probe-functions do not work. Error message is that the macro files are not found. Can someone give me a tip?

 
 

My system: Debian 10, Kernel 4.19.0-23-rt PREEMPT, LinuxCNC 2.8.4-1, Mesa 7i96s

BTW, probe basic runs very well with all functions.

I believe you need linuxcnc 2.9 or 2.10. Also, probe functions will not work if no probe tool is installed in the spindle.

In the INI look for SUBROUTINE_PATH

it must include the path to the probing ngc files.

They probably don't point to the right place in an installed version.
This is what the files look like:
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/tree/2.8/nc...e/basic_probe/macros

they might be in the home/linuxcnc/nc_files/example/probe/basic_probe/macros folder

I created the directory structure required from the ini file and now it works. The error message is also gone now.

hello, I have noted a couple of odd movements in some of the verser-probe routines.
I assume you wrote the routines? yes?

Where can/should I propose changes? descriptions and code.
