QTdragon and basic probe

I feel stupid for asking but how to get this tab in my qtdragon.

I saw some git repos and and an installer that seems to use older phyton libraries, however seeing its in the main documentation I am assuming something easier allows it to be installed.

For some reason I'm struggling to get the basics of how the UI can be changed. As it took so long to get things running kind of afraid of breaking things as well, i.e probably less open to experimenting. So appreciate any help.

Extra info if needed -
I have the tool touch off working fine to get the z height. But would like the x and y as well. 
I am also hoping that this will also change the default tool change code, at the moment I have to split the g files for each tool change as I use a collet but that would be a bonus.

Phython-dev is no longer available since Debian 11 from what I can see.

fails.

Tried a few other things like the installer instead of the dev install. However it uses python in its commands. When I try to manually do the commands making them python 3 it starts talking about being a managed environment and to use pipx.

Well lost.

What I really need is

sudo apt install phython3-basicprobe

Sorry for not knowing what I'm doing or having a totally different setup to what is expected.

Did you try the INI entries I pointed to?

Qtvcp's Basic probe is already included.


Note not to be confused with 'probe basic' which is a pyqtvcp screen.

Had loads of tabs open and printed the wrong one. Sorry. My mistake.
