QTDragon_hd won't display a larger file. was created by matasbuk
    Hello, I have a machine with 32gb of RAM and an i5, QTdragon fails to visualize gcode files over 20-30mb. The RAM is not even loaded. What could be the problem and how to solve it? Instead of a program, a box within machine bounds is displayed.

try adding to the INI:
[DISPLAY]
GRAPHICAL_MAX_FILE_SIZE = 40

Yes mb. -1 will give unlimited.
Eventually an extremely large program will take forever to load.

What about 100-120mb programs? Are they possible? LinuxCNC seems to crash then loading those.

I have something similar but my file is not even big : 80k. (attached)
The bottom indicator says "LOADING 100%"

My display freeze, but the mouse cursor still move. VerNum on my keyboard is unresponsive. But I can connect with ssh.

i have no experience with very large programs.
There are commands to help with large preview by hiding some of it:
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/gui/qtdragon.html#_preview_control

I'm not really surprised that this isn't related to my file, as I created it the same way I always do. I finally got it to load, but I'm not sure how. I tried kernels 6.1.0-28 and 6.1.0-32. I also tried 2.9.4-19-gd3a1da65b7, same result as with 2.10.0-pre0.
Now I have the same issue with the next file.

I will try on another hardware
