[qt_dragon_hd] auto tool probe and gcode display issue was created by Silverback
I have qt_dragon_hd set up and running versa probe. Per the web directions, I have remapped M6 to the qt_auto_probe_tool routine.
Everything works fine, however, once the auto probe routine finishes and control returns to the gcode file, the display in qt_dragon switches to showing the qt_auto_probe_tool text and infinitely scrolls through it.
I am fairly new to LinuxCNC and have only made it this far by pure determination and reading a lot, so use ELI5 principles, if you don't mind.
Many thanks.

What version of linuxcnc are you using?
Can you post your config files?

I am using 2.9.4
I attached the files I *think* are needed. If something else is needed, let me know.

ok great.
I don't see any smoking gun.
Can you test the simulated auto tool config to see if it does the same thing?
You simulate the probe with the on screen button (when the label says probe)

I am not sure what you mean by simulate the auto tool config.
Is that in a simulation config? I have never messed with those.
Sorry to be such a neophyte.

yes select from the configuration pop up window:
sim/qtdragon/qtdragon_tool_probe/qtdragon_auto_tool_probe
A simulated configuration will run with a small window with a label and a button.
You turn on and home the machine like normal - all movements are simulated.
Run a program that has a tool change and use the button to simulate the probe.
The label will say 'probe' when you need to press the button, (in fact twice)
Then we can see if the remap subroutine is stuck showing.
