Thread is away from the chuck and making a heavier pass would probably (I did not tested) vibrate as the thread is relative thin.
I also prefer to go easy on tools. The time of machining is not very important for me. If I brake a tool is more expensive than a part, so unless I am making 100 parts, machining time is not important.
