I am pretty sure I got it setup correctly. I have attached a pdf of the page in the manual of this drive that talks about step and direction.

The drives are getting enabled when I get machine-is-on signal.

7i76 diff c.o drives pins
step1+ - PP+
step1- - PP-
dir1+ - PD+
dir1- - PD-

Are you sure you have the correct firmware on the 7I92?
Is the 7I76 connected to 7I92 P2?
Does the 7I76 have 5V power? (left yellow LED on top edge of 7I76)

I am pretty sure everything is ok. I have inputs working, outputs working, e-stop, limits etc.... If I had the wrong firmware that all that stuff would not be working.

I see pos cmds in hal config when I jog.

does the direction output change when you jog in different directions?

Press the right arrow key and it increases like the DRO. press the left arrow key and it goes the opposite direction not the opposite sign.
If while going down it passes 0 it will then go negative.

So if I start at zero it will go up to like 3.0000 then press the left arrow key and it will go down at the velocity.
So it looks ok to me.

What I meant was to measure the direction signal voltage to see if itchanges based on jog direction

from gnd to dir- it stays at .4v if I press left arrow it goes to 4.5v, press right arrow it stays at .4
from dir+ dir- it is at -4v if I press left it goes to 4.2v, if I press right it stays at -4v.
from gnd to dir+ it stays at 4.4v, if I press left it goes to .3v If I press right it does nothing.

I don't think that is correct.

Set them to 5000 at least till you get some movement.
