not quit a mil yet.. was created by Graydog
ok so I've got this interact that I'm retro fitting with atom525, but I've always wanted a massive gantry mill....like car or small truck size.

sticks me this interact could be a donor for such.....

I make solar cars which are some 6m long and recumbents which are a little shorter

any comments on such?

regards
Graham

Like this one? www.pdbengineering.com/pdf/Travelling%20...achine%20feature.pdf

It might make more sense to use the Interact to make a purpose-built gantry.
I have seen some interesting designs. One idea might be to use a garage as the machine frame, with the slides bolted to the walls.

thanks andy....
like the idea of the garage wall, alas Ive no gargae I can call my own......
that flippin machine is massive, ok a biggist machine :0)

chatted to my mate where we are setting these machines up.... and he likes the idea of the gantry.
need to work towards implementation by oct latest. so mid term plan is to get the interact working to prove the system, make the gantry and refit.
I think by then th new solar car design will be ready to cut. to be able to cut that solar wing as one part would be ace!!!

cheers
Graham
