I have built a few machines with these drives and servos. Does have step and direction interface plus velocity and torque control mode. I use velocity with 7i77 mesa cards, and I break the loop so loop is closed with linuxcnc.
Aliexpress ac servo's

AC vs DC servos. Why pick one over the other?

+1 for AC servo.
Just checked the shipping for those drives, 600$ to Kosovo !
3 drives = 340 Euro
shipping = 500 Euro
And customs and tax another 40%.
I really need to move to another state.....or continent !

AC servos better? Speed, Torque, easier to work with?
I am working through a CNC mill setup with DC serovs. I am hoping to build another mill when I get done with this one. So Am wondering if AC or DC servos are better.

If you have DC servos then they are fine.
The only real advantage of AC servos is that there are no brushes to wear out.
But, mosrt DC servos are old now, and magnetic materials have improved a lot. So it isn't that AC are inherently better, it is mainly that AC servos are a lot newer.

Those are pretty cost effective to the US $157 + $71 shipping, dunno if any import duties or not.
