I'm looking for a bare bones desktop 3 axis mill to fit up with some steppers for XYZ and a spindle of some sort. X 10", Y 5" and Z 2" or more.
Anyone know of any that might have decent quality at a fair price?

John, I would suggest the Seig Super X3 (SX3) or the Simpler Seig X3 (same size with less electronics, some say its a better candidate).
I believe you will find them under a different model number painted in Grizzly Green in your country.
For a Chinese machine, I think the quality is top notch. I have a non-CNC SX3 and a mate in my street also has one that he bought as a CNC machine built by Syil a good 10 or more years ago. He does a lot of small prototyping jobs. He's had it for years and was still turning out jobs today when I dropped in.
If you look around, you might even find a kit or plans for the conversion...

Thanks Rod but he is not looking to "convert" a manual mill to CNC. He's looking for a mill that has ball screws, Nema mounts and ready to bolt on steppers.

Maybe you can find a similar DM45 in your market.
