Alternatives to 7i76

I was all set to get my Mesa 7i76 card but have run into the problem of no stock due to the chip shortage situation.  As this seems to be the preferred card option for mill what other options can you suggest.  Unfortunately on a relatively tight budget.  It would seem the bulk of controllers are MACH3/4 or grbl and not suited to linuxcnc

edit: The 7i76 also requires a 5i25 or 6i25

It would be good to state how many input/outputs you need plus any encoders, mpg's, spindle speed control etc.

A mesa 7i76e ( this is the ethernet version of the 7i76) or 7i96 might do the job

Sorry Clive. I was talking about the 7i76e. Design not all set in stone but looking at least seperate X,y and z limits,. 0 - 10 v for spindle and room for 4th axis to enable manufacture of gearing. Also looking at auto tool length check and future expansion options.

Are you by any chance in the UK. If so I might be able to help.

Check the 7i96, it may be an even better fit than the 7i76e.

Born and bred there ( Northampton) but I now live in Perth, Australia! It looks like all of the Mesa boards are out of stock so was thinking along other brands

Thanks Tommy,. Unfortunately that board is also 'out of stock's at mesa. It also lacks the 0 - 10 v for spindle

It looks like eusurplus.com/ Portugal has the 7i76e is stock
