Steppers stuttering

It can be a frustrating experience trouble shooting something like this. But it still feels good to have the problem fixed even if the solution seems embarrassingly simple.

Hello to all,
I have just acquired a GIGABIT motherboard with a PENTIUM 100 2.8G processor, 4GBRam to run the CNC 5axes TCP. But despite the many readings of the forum that I could do: change BASE PERIOD, SERVO_PERIOD, setp parport.0.reset-time 5000, impossible to make my machine work properly, it stutters.

On my other configuration ASUS motherboard + SAMPRON 2.0 Go, 2Go of RAM the operation is perfectly fulide .

Could you please direct me to test parameter changes or more compatible hardware to drive this machine.

Does it sttuter only when jogging or when running gcode ?
Do you get latency warnings?
Did you measure the power supply voltage while motors are moving?
First thing, try a different keyboard.
And do not change the servo period, set it back to 1000000 ( 1 million), that messes everything if set to other values.
