Testing A Motherboard With Different Hardware?? was created by hesdeadjim
ok, i will try not to make this too confusing but no promises...lol...
i have a k7sem motherboard, a dozen sticks of assorted ram, 3 video cards, and 3 processors.
i have tested all the processors with the onboard video, and i am now testing the video cards. when that is done, i will test the ram sticks. i run a 24 hour torture test on each item and record the latency results.
my question is, will testing the individual items give a proper indication of latency?
or do i have to test each and every combination of the items?
thanks..
P.S. - so far all the latency numbers are under 13000 no matter what i throw at this mobo.

I'm not completely sure that memory or processors have anything to do with latency provided they are the same but it sounds like a fun test to do.

yep yep...
tons of fun..
i just ordered a new old stock socket 370 motherboard so i can test another load of processors and ram that i have...
i still have a socket 7 and socket 8 board laying around...
