Anyone have a recommendation on a Tiger Direct Barebones system to run EMC?

I'm not sure about Tiger Barebones system

I just rolled one up around the Atom D525 MB and it look like a good board

I spent $243 on the MB, Case, 4gb of memory, 80 GB HB, and DVD reader

(bought the hardware through Newegg)

FWIW you can use 1GB or memory and 8GB of drive space and still have plenty of space. That's the spec of the machine I use for EMC2 development. The spec for running EMC2 could possibly be lower.

So, that's like 3 tanks of gas for a CNC control computer... pretty good.

Oh I know but at $10 for 2 gb

and the smallest sata drive being 80

I figure it was best to just put in in there to start with

I am using an SSD which plugs directly into the SATA port, I can't afford 80GB of SSD, but $20 for 8GB was fine, and is enough for a CNC controller.
That means I have a controller with no moving parts (which is a bit peculiar, as it is rather hard to tell if it is on or off)

Nice, I may need to use one of those for the HD
it would cure vibration concerns for a regular HD.
