AMD Ontario Fusion boards. was created by wizard69
Hi folks:
This is a question focused on embedded boards built with AMD Ontario Fusion chips. Has anyone successfully employed any of these boards in an EMC installation? There is a stream of these boards bing introduced and frankly the better GPU technology is a draw. One I'm looking at is here: www.avalue.com.tw/products/ECM-A50M.cfm The board directly supports 8 digital in and 8 digital outs. This should be enough, or at least i'm hoping it is for a 3 axis machine
I realize that ATOM boards are often mentioned on the forum but I'm just looking for as much performance as I can get in a low power board.
Thanks
Dave

That does look interesting.
You would need a driver for the onboard DIO, but that is probably half an hour's work.

Looks interesting but I'm finding their web site to be very frustrating. Getting info/specs is a pain.
